PCMS expands global presence

Feb 28, 2019 | PCMS News

PCMS can today announce the hiring of Peter Ludi as our first Territory Executive for Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Peter joins PCMS following a year of record company growth across geographies, verticals and technologies. He has been tasked with supporting PCMS customer growth, partner strategy and expanding our presence in the emerging Africa and ANZ market regions.

Peter said: “I’ve long been aware of PCMS, and believe in its philosophy of ‘serving the customer’s customer first’. At PCMS we have enormous intellectual property and capability based in our UK and US teams, coupled with strong local market understanding. This is an appealing combination for local and global retailers looking to grow and future-proof their businesses in these regions.”

Peter is based in South Africa, where PCMS has several significant commercial relationships, including a partnership with Pick n Pay, a major supermarket chain. Peter has spent more than 35 years in retail, having started as an internal auditor, also working as cashier and warehouse manager before overseeing multi-million dollar IT projects, hundreds of new store openings across seven countries and specialised store profitability programs. His passionate understanding of shop floor operations was a major reason for his appointment.

PCMS Group Chief Commercial Officer Jon Stretton said: “Peter is a great addition to our global team. His local expertise, technological understanding and willingness to dig into complex operational issues will help us to serve new and existing customers even more efficiently and cost-effectively.”
